Gown Rental FAQ

How Does It Work?

1. Choose your gown! If it is available on the website then you are free to purchase your rental and let me know your required photoshoot/event date in the notes at checkout. I will then email you a confirmation with your return by date. Please be aware that I ship from regional postcode 6285 when working out your required by date, you can view the Australia Post delivery time calculator here and use 6285 as the sending from postcode.

If your chosen gown is "sold out" just flick me a message and I'll be here to help.

2. I post you your gown, with a few extra days to allow for postage delays. (You aren't charged for the extra days if it arrives early!)

3. You enjoy being a Goddess at your shoot/event!

4. You pop the gown back in the bag, please don't even clean it! Lodge in the post by the agreed return date, by removing the old address label and sticking the enclosed return label on. (Make sure you sign the dangerous goods declaration, lodge over the counter and get a receipt!) Your return date will be on the next weekday if your rental return date is on a weekend.

Do I need to Clean my Gown?

Gown laundering is included in your hire fee. Just dust off any dirt/prickles and make sure it is dry before returning it. You will be provided with a condition report with the gown if there are any faults.

Is There a Bond?

I will send you an email confirming whether you need to pay a bond or not and confirm the date once this is paid (if required)

What if I Damage my Gown?

Please get in touch if you have damaged or stained your gown and we will discuss what to do next if immediate stain removal is required. You won't be charged for reasonable wear and tear but please take extra care while wearing your gown so that irreparable damage and cost can be avoided.

What if my Gown Doesn't Arrive on Time?

I post from Western Australia so please take this in to consideration. You can check the delivery timeframe on Australia Post's website here before placing your order. I post from postcode 6285 and use the express service. It usually takes 2-3 days express but some regional areas can take up to 7 days.  Once your package has been shipped I can't take responsibility for delays in postage.

If for some reason Australia Post fails to deliver within the usual timeframe, please get in touch to arrange an extension if it is possible. If you have not allowed for reasonable shipping times, I won't be able to provide a refund. If your rental arrives late and an extension can't be provided, please post it back on the next business day and the bond will be refunded. You will receive a store credit for the rental which can be used within 12 months. 

Can I Extend my Rental Time?

Please get in touch if you need your gown for longer as it may be booked out by another client. I allow extensions if possible as we all know life is unpredictable!

What if I need to Cancel my Rental?

If you cancel 14 days or more before your required by/photoshoot/event date, you will receive a full refund minus admin and banking fees of $5 if you paid by card/paypal/deposit and $10 if you paid by afterpay/zippay. 

If you cancel within 2 weeks then you will receive a credit note for the hire fee and your bond will be refunded.

Credit notes can be applied to any future hires placed within 12 months of the cancellation date. You can even use my dresses for non-maternity so can be used for newborn and future family photoshoots or occasional events.
